2026 Edisto River Sweep
Join the Edisto River Canoe & Kayak Commission, Keep Walterboro Beautiful, and SCDNR for the 2026 Edisto River Sweep on Saturday, September 19!
Volunteers will work on land and on the water to remove litter from the Edisto River, boat landings, riverbanks, and surrounding access areas in Colleton County. Cleanup efforts will focus on Mars Old Field Landing, Good Hope Landing, and Long Creek Landing, along with sections of the river between Colleton and Givhans Ferry State Parks.
We’ll meet at 9:00 a.m. at Mars Old Field Landing before dividing into cleanup teams. Bring your family, friends, church group, scout troop, civic organization, or coworkers and help us take care of one of the Lowcountry’s greatest natural resources.
Every bag of trash removed makes a difference. Come help us keep the Edisto beautiful!
